No seasoning required. Safe on all cook tops and in the oven to 475 degrees F. Phenolic knob is oven safe to 400°F.

Round Dutch Oven has a Matte black Interior that is also enameled. The special treatment on it makes it looks like cast iron, but is more scratch resistant and durable for lifetime. The flat bottom also has a Matte black treatment that makes it more scratch resistant to all kinds of stovetops.
